
Seminar on Safe Transport of Lithium Battery by Air
AIMS
Following the
changes in requirements for lithium battery shipment in the coming 2009-2010 edition
of ICAO TI and 50th edition of IATA DGR, the Civil Aviation Department (CAD)
and the industry associations invite interested members of the industry to
attend the seminar for a better understanding of the local and international
regulations/requirements. Besides
facilitating the shipping and aviation industry to prepare for the changes, the
seminar also aims to promote shippers’ understanding of aviation industry’s
operational requirements so as to reduce unnecessary rejection of
shipment. Representatives from the CAD, Battery Association of Japan (BAJ) and
Carrier Liaison Group (CLG) will give presentations. Details as below:
