Target Participants

·   Personnel involved in processing general air cargo (OTHER THAN DG), i.e. DIRECT checking of packaging, marking, labelling and documentation (i.e. MAWB, HAWB) of cargo consignments.

·   Personnel involved in actions other than processing, such as loading, transporting and storage of cargo consignments, which present the staff with an opportunity of having physical or close visual contact with the cargo consignments or perusal of their documentations.

  Status will be shown either in one of the following code: “Available”, “Full”, “Closed”, “Not Open for Reg.” or “Cancelled”.

Enrollment Policies

1.       Enrollment Procedure:

           a)        Kindly complete the enrolment form and send in together with cheque payment made payable to “HAFFA” (please write down your name and course code on the back of the cheque).

           b)        Letter of Acceptance with course details will be sent out by  EMAIL Only  either within 3 working days after the enrolment deadline, or once the course is full before the enrollment deadline.  Please do not call the Secretariat before that day.

2.       Remark:

           a)        The above stated classes are open to HAFFA Members ONLY. 

For NON HAFFA Members,

i)          Please visit the CAD's website at http://www.cad.gov.hk/english/DGAC.html and under the DGAC table, click the bullet point "Dangerous Goods Training Recognized as Fulfilling the Training Requirement for Shippers and Freight Forwarders" in order to get the contact information of the DG training providers, or

ii)         You may consider for the HAFFA Self Study Scheme (not Classroom training) and details can be found in our website at http://www.haffa.com.hk/edu/Education-Self Study DGA.htm.

           b)        The date & time of receipt of the application by the HAFFA Secretariat will be taken as the official date & time of application.

           c)        Application is subject to HAFFA’s approval.  HAFFA reserves the right to reject any application in any circumstances and for whatever reasons.  Submission of the enrollment form and cheque should NOT be construed as acceptance of admission.

           d)        Cheques are subject to bank clearance and receipts will then be issued. 

           e)        Fax, e-mail and phone registration are NOT acceptable. 

             f)        HAFFA reserves the right to cancel any of the classes above if there is insufficient enrolment or unforeseen difficulties arising from mounting the class(es).

           g)        HAFFA reserves the right to change the program contents, schedule or venue at any time and without prior notice if it so deems necessary.  Those who would be affected by cancellation will be entitled to a full refund or a position on the next available class.

           h)        Applications will be treated on a FIRST-COME-FIRST-SERVED basis upon receipt of company cheque payment.

3.       Cancellations/Refunds 

           a)        An administration fee of HK$100.- will be charged for each amendment/cancellation made on the application ONCE the Acceptance Letter is issued.  No guarantee on amendments could be made within 2 working days before the start of the course.

           b)        Cancellations/Change of Classes received, after application deadline and prior to the commencement of the course, will require to provide also a written explanation to HAFFA and co-organizer for approval.  HAFFA/co-organizer may in its sole discretion and without assigning any reason for its decision approve or reserve a seat for the enrollee in future course or refuse any such application for cancellation.

           c)        After the commencement of the course, no refund will be given.
