Course Fee per applicant is inclusive of one set of Lecture Notes (paper format), a Briefing Kit (CD format) and a seat for student free Chinese Dim Sum Lunch which is not transferable.  Please note that both Lecture Notes and Briefing Kit are NOT FOR SALE.

Course Objective

To provide participants with knowledge on the regulation of cargo security with particular reference to Regulated Agent Regime and guidance materials as well as practices in Hong Kong

 

By the end of the course, you will be able to

?      Gain an understanding of the principles of air cargo security and updated recommendations and guidelines of Annex 17 

?      Appreciate the origin and purpose of security measures and procedures necessary for the protection of cargo

?      Understand recognition of known consignor

?      Master critical security procedures (inspect, screen or search consignments in accordance with prescribed security principles) to safeguard your operation for ‘Known Cargo’ and ‘Unknown Cargo’

?      Apply appropriate security controls to cargo consignment

?      Prepare the document and record keeping in accordance with RAR requirement

?      Understand the inter-Agent AWB handling procedures

Certificate of Awards

Certificate is jointly issued by HAFFA and Carrier Liaison Group (CLG) to students who have successfully passed the said course.   The subject course has been endorsed by the Civil Aviation Department (CAD).  Information of the qualified student will be filed by HAFFA to the CAD for permanent record.

1.          Enrolment Procedure:

a)      Kindly complete the enrolment form and send in together with cheque payment made payable to HAFFA (please write down your name and course code on the back of the cheque).

b)      Letter of Acceptance with course details will be sent out by  EMAIL Only  either within 3 working days after the enrolment deadline, or once the course is full before the enrollment deadline.  Please do not call the Secretariat before that day.

 

2.          Remark

a)      The date & time of receipt of the application by the HAFFA Secretariat will be taken as the official date & time of application.

b)      Application is subject to HAFFA’s approval.  HAFFA reserves the right to reject any application in any circumstances and for whatever reasons.  Submission of the enrollment form and cheque should NOT be construed as acceptance of admission.

c)      Cheques are subject to bank clearance and receipts will then be issued. 

d)      Fax, e-mail and phone registration are NOT acceptable. 

e)      HAFFA reserves the right to cancel any of the classes above if there is insufficient enrolment or unforeseen difficulties arising from mounting the class(es).

f)       HAFFA reserves the right to change the program contents, schedule or venue at any time and without prior notice if it so deems necessary.  Those who would be affected by cancellation will be entitled to a full refund or a position on the next available class.

g)      Applications will be treated on a FIRST-COME-FIRST-SERVED basis upon receipt of company cheque payment.

 

1.          Cancellations/Refunds 

An administration fee of HK$100.- will be charged for each amendment/cancellation made on the application ONCE the Acceptance Letter is issued. No guarantee on amendments could be made within 2 working days before the start of the course.

Cancellations/Change of Classes received, after application deadline and prior to the commencement of the course, will require to provide also a written explanation to HAFFA and co-organizer for approval.  HAFFA/co-organizer may in its sole discretion and without assigning any reason for its decision approve or reserve a seat for the enrollee in future course or refuse any such application for cancellation.

After the commencement of the course, no refund will be given.
