Fee per Applicant  Total: HK$1,550.- (or HK$775.- only after VTC subsidy)^NEW

 

^     Qualified student can apply for a subsidy of HK$775(provided by the Vocational Training Council-Transport Logistics Training Board "VTC-TLTB") via HAFFA after the end of the module, provided that the student:

(1) Has passed the examination (passing mark: 50%);

(2) Has achieved an attendance of 80% or above; and

(3) Is currently employed in transport logistics company.

Please note that the subsidy is subject to the fund availability.

The application form for partial reimbursement and details will be sent to the student together with the student acceptance letter.

14 days before the course commencement date.

 

Assessment and Award

1.     Multiple-Choice Questions for Test and Examination.

2.     A Professional Module Certificate will be jointly issued by the CILTHK, HAFFA and LOGSCOUNCIL to students who have successfully passed the test and examination (passing mark: 50%) and achieved an attendance of 80% or above of each module.

3.     The certificate is widely recognized by senior management in the industry.

4.     HAFFA Committee Member Companies will give higher priority to any job seeker if he/she has obtained the certificate of VTP for Airfreight/Seafreight Sector.NEW

5.     This VTP module (Airfreight M1 + M2) is equivalent to the "IATA Cargo Skills and Procedures" under the HAFFA Training requirement to become a HAFFA Member. [Click here for details.]NEW

 

Lecturers and Medium of Instruction

Experienced instructors from the industry will conduct the lecture in Cantonese with English reading materials.

Export Operations

Ø    To understand requirement in export operations

Ø    How to handle a customer booking with credit account and without credit account customer

Ø    Documentation requirements for specific commodities and how to intercept the hidden dangerous goods and counterfeit shipment

Ø    Importance of Shipper's Letter of Instruction Form, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, Letter of Credit, License, Known Consignor Declaration, Inter RA Aviation Security Declaration, Dangerous Goods Declaration and Material Safety Data Sheet

Ø    Best Practice in handling of Lithium Batteries and Batteries Dry shipment

Ø    How to arrange a local collection shipment and cross border collection shipment

Ø    How to perform cargo verification

Ø    To know how to make a booking with the carrier and what data are required

Ø    To understand how to handle a shipment with co-loader, to borrow an air waybill from other agent

Ø    Basic concept of consolidation and handling in flight planning

Ø    To coordinate with warehouse in palletization/bulk shipment

Ø    What is loading scheme for cargo security

Ø    Awareness in cargo built-up (sequence in handling and consequence on poor built-up)

Ø    Functions and importance of different documents, how to complete the shipper letter of instruction form, master air waybill and house waybill and also the requirements in EDI transmission

Ø    How to prepare for shipment arrival (e.g. data verification and pre-customs clearance)

Ø    How to collect cargo from cargo terminals

Ø    To understand what is exception handling in case of irregularities and how to prepare a preliminary notice of claim and formal claims letter
