· “Government and You”: CEPA Amendment Agreement II – New Measures, New Opportunities

The Second Agreement Concerning Amendment to the Agreement on Trade in Services of the Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA Amendment Agreement II) signed between the Mainland and Hong Kong has been implemented since March 2025. The new Agreement introduces new liberalisation measures across a number of services sectors where Hong Kong enjoys competitive advantages, such as telecommunications and tourism services, etc., thereby opening up greater room and providing facilitation for Hong Kong service suppliers and professionals to develop businesses in the Mainland. Meanwhile, the new Agreement also newly includes “allowing Hong Kong-invested enterprises to adopt Hong Kong law” and “allowing Hong Kong-invested enterprises to choose for arbitration to be seated in Hong Kong” as facilitation measures for Hong Kong investors.

    ·     TV Programme and Promotional Video for the 20th Anniversary of the Signing of CEPA

     CEPA簽署二十周年電視節目及宣傳短片

     

    To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA), the Trade and Industry Department (TID) has jointly produced with Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) a special TV programme and a promotional video, to showcase appreciation from various sectors in Hong Kong for the contributions of CEPA to the national development and promotion of Hong Kong’s economy over the years, as well as to share successful examples of Hong Kong enterprises benefitting from CEPA liberalisation measures.

     

    The programme will have its first broadcast at 7:30 pm on 3 December 2023 (Sunday) on RTHK TV 31. It will also be available on RTHK’s website and “RTHK TV” mobile application at the same time, and for programme catchup. Members are most welcome to watch the TV programme and video.
