Award Scheme for Learning Experiences (2021) 學習體驗獎勵計劃 (2021年度)

• A maximum of 3 applicants may be selected for award in each financial year
  每個財政年度可選出不超過三名申請者頒予獎項
• Awards are of two categories:獎項分為下列兩類：
  • Awardees attending learning activities held within Hong Kong will receive an award of HK$10,000  獲獎者參與本港舉行的學習活動可獲港幣一萬元獎金
    
  • Awardees attending learning activities held outside Hong Kong will receive an award of HK$30,000  獲獎者參與香港境外舉行的學習活動可獲港幣三萬元獎金

The Financial Secretary proposed in 2013-14 Budget to allocate $10 million per year to support the Industry Training Advisory Committees (ITACs) set up under the QF to launch new initiatives to further enhance the knowledge and skills of practitioners in the industries and their competitiveness in the labour market. This Award Scheme is one of the initiatives. The Award Scheme aims to encourage outstanding or emerging practitioners to engage in learning activities in different places around the world with a view to broadening their horizons and developing network with industry partners in and outside Hong Kong. These awardees will serve as exemplars and role models for their respective industries and help attract the younger generation to pursue career in these fields and promote “multiple pathways; masters of each trade”.

Applicants must be a Hong Kong resident, an incumbent practitioner in the industry concerned and have completed at least one QF-recognised programme, acquired one RPL qualification or acquired one QF-recognised professional qualification.

Learning activities covered by the Scheme may include contests, conferences, seminars, study tours, etc. but exclusive of various kinds of education and training programmes. Such learning activities should have enrolment procedures and criteria. Learning activities should take place between 1 July 2021 and 30 June 2022. Applicants are required to enroll on the learning activities and arrange related itinerary by themselves.
