A big thank you to the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), Members and Industry Fellows for their support! HAFFA Chairman Mr. Gary Lau and Vice Chairman Mr. Ryan Hsu led a 23-member delegation on a highly productive visit to Chengdu from 21-24 October 2024. This trip was a unique opportunity for the delegates to gain first-hand insights into one of the most dynamic logistics hubs in the region. 

Throughout our stay, we visited several key logistics facilities, where we were able to observe the latest advancements and innovations shaping the industry. These visits provided us with valuable perspectives and a deeper understanding of current trends that are transforming logistics operations in the Mainland. Moreover, we also engaged in meaningful discussions with senior government officials and representatives from key freight logistics organizations in Chengdu. These interactions paved the way for exploring potential cooperation and business opportunities that could benefit our delegates. The collaborative spirit and the wealth of knowledge exchanged during this visit were truly inspiring, and we are eager to build upon these connections in the future. 

As an association, we will continue to act as a bridge to facilitate and strengthen communication and business development between enterprises in Hong Kong and Sichuan. Together, we aim to further explore the logistics market and collaboratively promote high-quality logistics development in both regions.

    (including delegation fee, round-trip economy airfare between Hong Kong and Chengdu, and a 3-night [single room] accommodation in Chengdu)

·   Government Subsidy: Delegates are eligible for the “SME Export Marketing Fund” to get up to 50% reimbursement of the participant fee

Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province and the main gateway to southwest China, has seen rapid economic development and is one of the nine regional logistics centre cities planned and constructed by the State Council. As one of the world’s service industry centres and an international logistics hub, Hong Kong offers vast opportunities for collaboration with Chengdu. To help Members capitalize on the booming local business opportunities, HAFFA is organizing a logistics delegation to Chengdu from 21-24 October 2024 (Mon - Thu).

This tour will include visits to key logistics facilities in Chengdu, providing insights into the latest industry developments. Additionally, the delegation plans to engage with local government, freight logistics organizations, and enterprises to explore cooperation and business opportunities. Should Members be interested to join the delegation, please complete the online pre-registration (https://form.jotform.com/HAFFAEvent/ChengduStudyTour) on or before 19 July 2024 (Friday). The event is currently in the registration stage, and NO payment is required at this time. Payment details will be provided later via a confirmation notice after the registration deadline.  Seats are limited, and registration will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis.
