Q1 How can I apply for the Examination? 如何申請考試？

I)Fill in the Pre-Enrollment Online Form

II)An automatic email with your filled enrollment form will be sent to you by email.

III)Please send by post the printed enrollment form together with a cheque made payable to "Hong Kong Association of Freight Forwarding and Logistics Limited" (write down your name and course code at the back of the cheque) to HAFFA.

IV)填妥網上的預先報名表格

V)將會收到自動回覆郵件，電子郵件內容為你之前填寫的報名表格內容

VI)請你將該電子郵件列印，並附上抬頭寫上 “Hong Kong Association of Freight Forwarding and Logistics Limited” (請在支票背面寫下你的姓名和課程編號)的支票，一同寄到HAFFA辦公室。

Application will be treated on a first-come-first-served basis upon completion of the enrolment procedure and receipt of payment before lesson. The date & time of receipt of the application by the HAFFA Secretariat will be taken as the official date & time of application.

Please note that the Application is subject to HAFFA's approval. HAFFA reserves the right to reject any application in any circumstance and for whatever reasons. Submission of the enrollment form and cheque is NOT construed as acceptance of admission.

Q3 Can I reserve a seat for the Examination? 我可以為考試留位嗎？

Seat can be reserved for 1 week via filling in the Pre-Enrollment Online Form.

Q4 Can I pay in cash or cheque? 我可以現金或支票付款嗎？

You can pay in cash (except for HK$1,000 notes), company cheque or personal cheque (only for individual application). Official receipt will be enclosed with the certificate.

你可以用現金(不接受港幣1,000元紙幣)，公司支票或個人支票(只限於個人申請)付款。正式收據將隨證書附上。

Q5 How do I know if I have successfully enrolled in the Examination? 我如何知道我是否成功報名考試？

A Letter of Acceptance with Examination arrangement details will be sent out by EMAIL Only either within 3 working days after the enrollment deadline, or once the Examination session is full before the enrollment deadline. Please do not call the Secretariat before that day. Should you do not receive the email by then, please contact the HAFFA Secretariat immediately before the date of Examination. Otherwise, we shall assume that you have received it and NO re-examination will be arranged for any absentee in this case.

HAFFA只會在申請截止後的3個工作日內或考試的名額已滿時發出附有考試安排的錄取通知書，請勿在這天前致電秘書處。如果屆時你仍未收到通知書，請在考試前聯絡HAFFA秘書處。否則，我們會假設你已收到該通知書，因此而缺席者並不獲安排重考。

Q6 What do I need to bring for the Examination? 我需要帶什麼出席考試？

You must bring along your Hong Kong Identity Card and the Letter of Acceptance. You may be denied entrance to the Examination room if you fail to bring your ID card and Letter of Acceptance OR if the validity of your ID is in question.

你必須攜帶香港身份證和錄取通知書報到。如果你未能攜帶身份證和錄取通知書，或你的身份證懷疑無效，則可能被拒絕進入考場。

You should also bring the original HAFFA DGA Self-Study Manual and writing stationery.

你也應攜帶HAFFA危險品認知自學課本正本和書寫文具。

Examination 考試 - During the Examination考試期間

Q7 Can I use a copy of the HAFFA DGA Self-Study Manual for the Examination? 我可以使用複印的HAFFA 危險品認知自學課本進行考試嗎？

No, ONLY the Original HAFFA DGA Self-Study Manual is allowed to bring into the Examination venue for the Open-notes Examination.

不可以，你只能帶正本的HAFFA危險品認知自學課本進入開卷考試的試場。

If you just bring the photocopy of Self-Study Manual, you will be asked to purchase a new and original copy of HAFFA DGA Self-Study Manual before the start of Exam.

如果你只攜帶複印版課本前來應考，則需要你於在考試前購買原版危險品認知自學課本應考。

You can use the CURRENT version of IATA DGR Manual as a substitute.

你亦可以使用現有版本的IATA DGR手冊作為替代。

Q8 What if I am late for the Examination? 如果我考試遲到了怎麼辦？

You must report to the invigilator in the Examination Centre in good time. No extra time for the Examination will be allowed for those who come late. If you are late for more than 15 minutes, you will not be allowed to take the Exam.

你應該準時到達考場向監考員報到。遲到少於15分鐘可獲准應考，但你將不獲額外時間作答，而遲到超過15分鐘則會被禁止參加考試。

Q9 Will the Examination be cancelled under extreme weather conditions? 極端天氣情況下會取消考試嗎？

No examination will be held when the typhoon signal No. 8 or above / Black Storm Warning / "Extreme Condition" is hoisted. Examinations will be postponed until further notice. (Kindly refer to our HAFFA website: Bad Weather - Class arrangement)

懸掛八號或以上颱風信號／黑色暴雨警告／「極端狀況」時，考試將不會舉行。考試時間會另行通知。（請參考我們的HAFFA網站：惡劣天氣-班級安排）

Q10 Can I take the Examination paper out of the Examination centre during or after the examination? 在考試期間或之後，我可以將試卷帶離試場嗎？

No, you are NOT permitted to take the Examination paper(s) out of the Examination Centre.

不可以，你不能將考試卷帶離試場。

Q11 Can I leave the Examination Centre in the midst of the Examination? 我可以在考試期間離開試場嗎？

You can only leave the Examination Centre with the permission of the invigilator. If you leave the Examination Centre without permission before the end of the Examination, you will NOT be permitted to re-enter the Examination Centre and you will be totally disqualified for the Examination.

你只能在考官的允許下才能離開考場。在考試結束前未經許可離開考場會被禁止重新進入考場，並喪失考試資格。

Q12 Can I talk to other candidates during Examination? 考試期間我可以和其他考生交談嗎？

No, you must not speak or communicate with other candidate(s) during the Examination.

不可以，考試期間，你不得講話或與其他考生互相交流。

If you are found guilty of dishonest conduct during the Examination, you will be instructed to leave the Examination Centre immediately and be totally disqualified for the Examination.

如果你被發現於考試期間作出不誠實行為，你會被指示立即離開考場，並被取消考試資格。

Examination 考試 - Examination Result考試結果

Q13 When will I receive the result of the Examination? 我什麼時候可以知道考試結果？

Result will be announced after the end of the Examination except for some unforeseeable circumstances.

除在不可預見的情況外，考試結果將會在考試結束後宣布。

Q14 What if I fail the Examination? Can I ask for an appeal? 如果我考試不及格會怎樣？我可以要求上訴嗎？

If you fail the Examination, no certificate will be issued. You should register with HAFFA to arrange another Examination in the coming available slot at a fee.

如果你考試不合格，就不會獲頒發證書。而你需要付費向HAFFA申請在即將舉行的考試時段安排重考。

HAFFA’s decision on the Examination results shall be final.

HAFFA對考試成績的決定為最終決定。

Q15 How can I collect my certificate? 我如何領取證書？

You can directly collect the certificate after the Examination results announcement except for some unforeseeable circumstances.

除在不可預見的情況之外，你可以在考試結果公佈後直接領取證書。

Q16 How long does my certificate last? 證書的有效時間是多久？

The certificate lasts for 2 years. Following HKCAD/IATA’s requirements, you are required to renew the certificate by taking another refresher Examination every 24 months from the date of last Examination so as to keep DGA knowledge up-to-date. You may arrange your refresher training within the final 3 months of the 24-month period. It would be considered as being completed on the expiry date of the 24-month period. E.g. a person who completed an Examination on 30 November 2018 needs to complete a revalidation by 30 November 2020. However, the revalidation may be taken between 1 September and 30 November 2020. The revalidation will be considered being completed on 30 November 2020. The next revalidation date will then be 30 November 2022.

證書的有效期為2年。按照HKCAD / IATA的要求，你必須自上次考試之日起每24個月進行另一次複習考試，以更新證書及保持最新的DGA知識。你可以在24個月期限的最後3個月內安排複習考試，該考試被視為在證書屆滿當日進行。例如，在2018年11月30日完成考試的人原本需要在2020年11月30日之前完成複習考試，但他可提早於2020年9月1日至11月30日之間進行，其複習考試會被視為在2020年11月30日完成，即再下一次複習考試將需要在2022年11月30日之前完成。

Q17 Can I apply for re-issuance of certificate? 我可以申請重新頒發證書嗎？

The original certificate will NOT be re-issued under any circumstances. In case of loss, you may apply for Certified True Copy of such certificate.

You can send a written request to the HAFFA Secretariat with company chop and signature (individual application: signature only) by email to training@haffa.com.hk / sssdga@haffa.com.hk. Please indicate your name, exam date, exam code and declare loss of it. Request would only be accepted within the expiry period of the certificate. A service charge of HK$50 will be imposed for request of re-issuance of certificate.

正本的證書一經發出後，在任何情況下均不會補發。學員若遺失證書，可申請該證書的核證副本。

你可以通過電子郵件(training@haffa.com.hk / sssdga@haffa.com.hk) 向HAFFA秘書處發送書面請求，通知HAFFA秘書處遺失證書，並附上公司印章、簽名（個人申請則只需簽名）、你的姓名、考試日期和考試編號。請留意只能在該證書有效期內申請。補發證書的費用為港幣50元。

Examination 考試 - Cancellations/ Amendment/ Refunds 取消/修改/退款

Q18 Can I cancel / amend my application? 我可以取消/修改我的申請嗎？

Cancellation/amendment can be made only one (1) time FREE of charge on the application after the Acceptance Letter is issued. After that, an administration fee of HK$50.- will be charged for each approved amendment/cancellation.

錄取通知書發出後，只能免費取消或修改1次。之後每次批准的修改或取消將另外收取港幣 50元正的行政費。

No guarantee on amendments could be made within 2 working days before the start date of the Examination.

HAFFA不保證在考試前的2個工作日內能成功作出任何修改。

You are required to provide a written explanation to HAFFA for approval. HAFFA may in its sole discretion to approve or reserve a seat for the enrolee in future Examination or refuse any such application for cancellation. And all without assigning any reason for its decision.

你必須向HAFFA提供書面說明以供批准申請。 HAFFA可以自行決定，並在不提供任何理由下批准或保留申請者在將來的考試留位，或拒絕取消申請。

Q19 Can I get a refund for the application? 我可以退款嗎？

No refund will be given on and after the day of Examination.

To encourage the compliance of DGA Training Requirement for staff of freight forwarders, we shall offer HAFFA Members ONE (1) copy of Chinese version and ONE (1) copy of English version of DGA Self-Study Manual FREE of charge. Please arrange to collect the free copies on or before 30 May 2025 (Fri) with your company chop at HAFFA office during office hours (Mon–Fri: 9am-5pm, Lunch Hour: 12:50pm – 2pm).

為鼓勵員工遵守貨運代理人員在危險品認知方面的培訓要求，我們將免費向HAFFA 會員提供一（1）份中文版的危險品認知自學課本和一（1）份英文版的危險品認知自學課本。請會員公司帶同公司印章於2025年5月30日(星期五)或之前的辦公時間(週一至週五：上午9點至下午5點，午膳時間：中午12點50分至下午2點)到HAFFA辦公室免費拿取自學課本。

ONLY the Original HAFFA DGA Self-Study Manual is allowed for participant to bring into the Exam venue for the Open-notes Exam. 考生僅可使用原版的HAFFA 危險品認知自學課本參加開卷考試

Photocopy is strictly prohibited and would result in immediate request of the participant to purchase a new and original copy of HAFFA DGA Self-Study Manual before the start of Exam. 嚴禁使用複印課本，使用複印版的考生會被要求在考試前購買全新的原版HAFFA 危險品認知自學課本

Please note that the previous edition (Year 2008, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 & 2024 edition) had been stopped for use with immediate effect. For all DGA Self Study Exam in year 2025 , only the new version (Year 2025 edition) and Addendum (if applicable) will be allowed.

No. The previous edition had been stopped for use with immediate effect. For all DGA Self Study Examination, only the latest version will be allowed.

Q23 What are the office hours of HAFFA and by when should I collect the ordered DGA Self-Study Manual? HAFFA 的辦公時間是什麼？我最遲應於何時拿取已訂購的危險品認知自學課本？

You may collect it at HAFFA office during office hours (Mon–Fri: 9am-5:45pm, Lunch Hour: 12:50pm - 2pm). The collection should be made as soon as possible. Kindly note that HAFFA will only keep your order(s) within ONE (1) MONTH after receipt of your payment submission.

No. The manual is prepared by Hongkong Association of Freight Forwarding and Logistics Limited (HAFFA). Any part of this manual (including any text, graphics and photos) should not be photocopied, reproduced, recast, reformatted or transmitted in any form by any means, electronic or mechanical, including photocopying without the prior written permission of HAFFA.

Sample Form of Deed of Indemnity: Applicability of Dangerous Goods Training Requirements to Staff of Vendors or Subcontractors of Freight Forwarders

According to CAD's previous advice, staff of freight forwarder company’s vendors or subcontractors (e.g. trucking, logistics or warehousing company), who perform a duty on behalf of forwarders company commensurate with functions of Cat 4 and Cat 5 personnel, should also receive similar dangerous goods awareness training. Members are strongly recommended to ensure compliance with the CAD requirements and it is advisable that appropriate conditions be put into the contract between the freight forwarders and the vendors or subcontractors, to the effect that the latter will arrange their Cat 4 and Cat 5 personnel to receive such training.

In order to facilitate Members in the aspect of contract, HAFFA has consulted our legal advisor and a form of Deed of Indemnity was prepared for Members’ reference purpose only [Both Chinese and English versions - Member Only]. Members should read the Explanatory Notes and send to your subcontractor the Form of Deed of Indemnity if deemed appropriate. Please note HAFFA makes no recommendation for the adoption of the form or any part of it. Suitability and adequacy of the form or any part of it depend on individual circumstance and requirements. Before using any part of the form, Members are advised to seek your own professional legal advice with regard to the suitability. When concluding any new contract, Members may make suitable cross reference to this form of Deed. Alternatively, if considered appropriate, the relevant provisions can be set out in such contract.
