| In view of latest changes in the requirements of shipping dangerous good (DG) including lithium battery by air (effective from 01 January 2021), Carrier Liaison Group (CLG), Hongkong Association of Freight Forwarding and Logistics (HAFFA), The Hong Kong Shippers’ Council (HKSC) and the Transport and Logistics Training Board – Vocational Training Council (VTC) would like to invite stakeholders of the industry to attend the webinar receiving the latest update on lithium battery requirements so as to enhance handling in cargo operations. Representatives from the Civil Aviation Department (CAD) and CLG will provide attendees an overview of the 2021 requirements of shipping DG including lithium battery by air. Considering that undeclaring, mis-declaring, mis-handling and improper shipping of DG including lithium battery by air might cause serious consequences, the webinar aims at raising the awareness of the industry, thereby enhancing safety in air cargo transport and maintaining a good reputation of the Hong Kong air cargo industry. |
